Anthony Fasano

While I dislike Dwayne Bowe, last season I was more disappointed with Anthony Fasano, and the stats show it. Both Bowe and Fasano had 4 drops in the 2013 season, yet Fasano had only 33 targets, and Bowe had 103. If I’m going to sit here and claim that Bowe that needs to sure up his hands, then I definitely expect the same of Fasano. I am personally excited about seeing Travis Kelce play but he has proven nothing in the NFL and could very well be a bust.

While Fasano had an issue with drops last year, he is still a veteran in the NFL and has experience playing in the league. He is a large body who can run the seam and pull safeties with him. Look for his routes this preseason to concentrate over the middle, and separation routes when matched up against a slower linebacker. If he can’t hold onto the football, our passing game could struggle mightily, unless Kelce or another tight end can step up in the same way as the Beard did last season.
