Dwayne Bowe
I’ll be honest, I’m not a Dwayne Bowe fan. He’s an overpaid athlete who has made some bad personal decisions. While I don’t care about the personal decisions at all, his play hasn’t been consistent enough to warrant the big money he’s received. However, my personal vendetta aside, he is our number one receiver and one of the main downfield threats for Alex Smith this upcoming season. This preseason, we need to see his hands sure up.
While he has the physical gifts to be a solid receiver in the NFL, he needs to become consistent all over the field. As one of the highest paid receivers in the league, he needs to step up and become a larger threat, from redzone opportunities to 1st and 10 plays from the 20. While his play time will be obviously limited in the preseason, his hands will be a key factor in determining how long into 2015 we get to cheer on our Chiefs.
