4. Mark Harrison Winning A Roster Spot?

Mark Harrison is turning heads with his early performance at training camp. While he did leave practice today with a hamstring injury (we’ll update that when we have more information), Harrison has done quite a bit in the first week of camp to prove his worth. Today’s example was a jump ball catch over Sean Smith on an underthrown pass.

Harrison is 6-3, 230 pounds, with a 38.5 vertical leap and a 4.46 40-yard dash time. His physical tools are something the Chiefs do not have at the receiver position, especially on the outside. If Harrison can do in games what he is doing in practice then the Chiefs may have stumbled into a future outside receiver threat that they can play matchups with, he could maybe become the Chiefs version of Eric Decker when the opponent throws out small defensive backs.
