Q: How is it being back?
HEMINGWAY: “It feels good, it feels good to be back. Back with the team doing what you love.”
Q: What do you think of the upcoming camp and how do you prepare for it?
HEMINGWAY: “I think it is going to be a great camp this year. Coming in knowing what to expect. It is a lot of guys’ second year in the program and offense, defense, things like that. So the younger guys, we got some good talent coming in – guys that are going to help this team get to where we need to be.”
Q: What are your expectations for this season?
HEMINGWAY: “I just come out and work hard every day. Whatever comes of that, comes of it. (I) just try to do what the coaches ask of me.”
Q: What kind of preparation did you make in order to compete for the starting slot job?
HEMINGWAY: “Just working on everything that I worked on last year – the same things. Trying to make sure my routes and everything are good, make sure that I am just in tune with everything.”
Q: Does coming into camp and competing for a starting job give you a little extra motivation?
HEMINGWAY: “You have to come with that mindset, you have got to keep it going. Just come out and work hard every day, hit the ground running.”
Q: How different is it playing inside as opposed to outside in this offense?
HEMINGWAY: “It is a little different. Most of the time in the slot you are going to see a little more off coverage. Outside you are going to see a little more press man (coverage). But I work in and out so that is going to help me out a lot.”
Q: What are your thoughts on this year’s draft class?
HEMINGWAY: “I like it. We have some guys coming in (and) we have confidence in those guys. And they are going to pick who they need for the team. We can come in and embrace them as older guys and help them get acclimated to everything so we can get on this run.”
Q: What are your impressions of Weston Dressler, De’Anthony Thomas and Frankie Hammond Jr.?
HEMINGWAY: “I see a lot of talent and you can tell that they are starting to get comfortable with everything. Our mindset as receivers: you go out there and make plays, make plays. Try to win every rep you can and make plays.”
Q: What is up with the crazy socks?
HEMINGWAY: “That is how I usually go around the summer. Crazy shoes, crazy socks.”
