“Reports” started flying around last night DeSean Jackson and Washington are close to signing a deal. While there is no deal in place as of this morning, things do appear to be moving in that direction. Here’s a flood of tweets involving Jackson.

In summation: Jackson has agreed to terms but hasn’t agreed to terms but he could agree to terms with … someone. Also, he hung out with a bunch of Washington players. Got it?
We all (should) know Washington is the team most likely to meet Jackson’s financial demands. The plan, one would assume, is if Washington cannot match the number Jackson is looking for then Jackson will take Washington’s proposal and shop it around to other teams. Should a team like San Francisco, Seattle, or Kansas City decide to come close to or match Washington’s offer then one would think Jackson would go to that team. This is probably the process we are going through now.
Jackson could easily agree to a deal with Washington today or tomorrow, but if he doesn’t then the game changes and brings back the chance of him coming to Kansas City. We discussed yesterday Jackson’s rumored demands, and at that price it makes sense for the Chiefs to pass. He’ll need to come down to something closer to what Eric Decker received for Jackson to be at a more reasonable price.
Given the history of Dan Snyder and the other teams rumored to be in discussions with Jackson, it would seem highly unlikely Jackson ends up in Kansas City. Then again, crazier things have happened.
