Recently released safety Danieal Manning – yeah, the spelling is throwing me off, too – told Sirius XM he has visits with the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs lined up this week.
Free Agent SS @ManningUp38: I'm heading to Cincinnati today and I will be meeting with Kansas City Thursday. #Bengals #Chiefs

Manning added this:
FA SS @ManningUp38: One of the determining factors for me on where I will sign will be a chance to win & what direction the team is headed.

We talked yesterday how Manning would fit should the Chiefs decide to pursue him – which they are apparently now doing – and what it would mean for the Chiefs. We’ll spare you from repeat what was said yesterday again today.
All we will add is the Chiefs are clearly not done looking for depth on their roster. They’ve made multiple small profile moves to shore up the back-end of the roster so they can use their draft picks however they wish. One should expect this to be the norm in free agency from now on.
We’ll keep you updated on Manning news as it becomes available. For now, what do you think about the possibility of adding Manning to the secondary?
