Anthony Fasano Appears on ‘Cake Boss’

Anthony Fasano appeared on TLC’s ‘Cake Boss’ last night to promote his foundation.

It appears Anthony Fasano has had a bit of a lapse in his off-season diet plan.

Fasano made an appearance on last night’s ‘Cake Boss,’ a popular reality television show on TLC about, well, making cakes. This wasn’t some random appearance, however. The show was there to help promote the Anthony Fasano Foundation’s Bocce Bash, which benefits Rebuilding Together: Veterans Housing. Rebuilding Together is an organization working to preserve affordable housing and communities. This particular project was for a veteran named Ed Abate, whose home was damaged by Hurricane Sandy.

From the KCChiefs.com:

"“This foundation helps raise money through multiple events to help the community of New Jersey,” Fasano explained. “We help an autistic school in New Jersey, we work with Rebuilding Together and we also provide meals and toys during the holidays for those in the community. One of our missions is to help underprivileged children in Northern New Jersey.”"

Very cool deal. It should be noted Fasano is from New Jersey.

The cake itself was a three-tiered, Italian inspired, masterpiece, which attempted to mix Italian and American heritage. It makes sense why this dude has his own television show. The other cake he made in the episode involved an edible fire station and fire truck.

"“Buddy has made cakes for my golf events the past couple of years so we invited him to attend this Bocce Ball Bash,” Fasano noted. “He put a team together with his crew and made a big three level cake made of bocce balls. It was delicious and each layer was a different flavor, I had some kind of vanilla cookie dough piece and it was great.”"

One highlight from the episode was a game of Bocce played by Fasano against the “Cake Boss” people. (Note: There is a governing body of Bocce within the United States. It seems hardcore.) Apparently, Fasano has some pretty good Bocce skills.
