Chiefs to Sign Former CFL Star Weston Dressler?

Rumors continue to swirl around the Kansas City Chiefs and former CFL star, Weston Dressler.

The former University of North Dakota standout tried out for the Chiefs earlier this month, but a deal was never struck. However, word is leaking that Dressler may be joining the Chiefs soon.

I’ve spoken to members of the Kansas City Chiefs media who have said that nobody at One Arrowhead Drive is letting anything slip.

Dressler caught 75 passes for 1,274 yards his senior year at North Dakota and continued his success after being drafted to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

If signed, Dressler could be a potential replacement for Dexter McCluster — who is due to hit free agency in March — or even Donnie Avery who had an underwhelming season. Though it would be a stretch to think that he could fill the role as the #2 receiver on the team, I think he would definitely get a shot.

What do you think, Addicts? Is this signing just a “bottom of the roster” guy or a potential hidden gem?
