For Kansas City Chiefs fans, Valentine’s Day 2013 may go down in history as “Christmas in February.”

Afters a relatively boring couple of weeks, Chiefs fans have been treated to three extremely exciting and interesting reports in the span of a few hours.

According to Ian Rapoprt of NFL Network, the Chiefs are actively trying to re-sign LT Branden Albert.

From NFL.com:

"Rapoport also reported Thursday that in addiition to Bowe, the Chiefs would like to bring back offensive tackle Branden Albert. The Chiefs have talked with his representatives and should be able to sign both players, according to Rapoport."

If you missed our earlier story, Rapoprt is also reporting that the Chiefs are trying to re-sign WR Dwayne Bowe.

Bowe and Albert are two of the players that Chiefs fans seem to want to return the most. The team has other free agents in Glenn Dorsey and Tyson Jackson but Bowe and Dorsey seem to be the overwhelming favorites among fans.

The fact that Rapoport says the team should be able to re-sign both players is an excellent sign for the Chiefs’ offense. KC struggled mightily moving the football last year and they certainly wouldn’t have been any better in 2013 without Bowe and Albert. We will advise caution until the ink is dry but it appears as though the new regime and the fans share the same goals as far as re-signing the team’s offensive stars.

Are you guys surprised that all this news has come flooding out
