Former (for now) Kansas City Chiefs RT Barry “The Bullfighter” Richardson has reportedly paid a free agent visit to the St. Louis Rams.
Wow. I’m shocked. I think this is a clear indication that the Rams are looking for a way to move on from Sam Bradford. Apparently, they’re plan for doing so is to get him broken in half.
As any Chiefs fan can tell you, save the delusional ones, Barry Richardson is pretty much the worst RT in the entire NFL. In fact, he was one of the worst tackles in the NFL period. B-Rich came in #75 out of 76 tackles who played at least 24% of their team’s snaps. His horrendous grade of -39.1 was just edged out by Marshall Newhouse of the Packers who turned in a -40.6.
But no tackle in the NFL was worse at run blocking than Barry. He graded at a dismal -19.5. The fact that the Chiefs still finished 11th in the NFL in rushing offense despite the fact that they had no Jamaal Charles and had B-Rich blocking, bodes well for the addition of Eric Winston and the return of JC. Oh yeah, and Peyton Hillis.
Good luck with this one Rams fans. If your team signs this dude, hope he never sees the field.
