David Garrard Released By Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars have released long-time starter David Garrard.

Garrard was due 8 million this season. The Jags will apparently roll with Luke McGown until they feel rookie Blain Gabbert is ready.

The wild speculation over who will pick up Garrard has already begun. It is funny how much of a stir a declining QB who was never that good to begin with can cause when he hits the open market.

Still, veteran QB’s with starting experience can be hard to find. Teams with backup QB’s named Palko and Stanzi should probably take a hard look at Garrard.
