Arrowhead Adventures ! The Preseason Schedule!

No official announcements that I know about, but a little sleuthing on the part

of your Arrowhead Investigator reveals the preseason schedule appears to be the following:

Tampa Bay @ KC 8-12-2011

KC @ Baltimore 8-19-2011

St. Louis @ KC 8-28-2011

KC @ Green Bay 9-1-2011

As your official Arrowhead Correspondent, I have the responsibility of attending all  games and reporting back on tailgating, the revealing nature of the cheerleader’s attire, which players come into my corner to say hello, the tastiest menu items, and well you get the picture.

A better job I could not hope for! (and realistically expect to get).

Loyal readers of my posts over the years know that I love preseason games. The atmosphere is casual and  stress free. The weather is usually awesome. And it can be an opportunity to catch a game at exciting venues that would be freezing cold and  out of my reach finacially during the regular season.

This year I am glad to see the Governors Cup back in KC.  And my birthday this year will be celebrated at good old Arrowhead for the Tampa Bay Buttcaneers visit.  Anybody know if Ryan Sims is still sponging off the Tampa Bay payroll? I would say something to him like I did the last time Tampa Bay visited Arrowhead but its just not worth it anymore.

The road preseason game that caught my eye is the Green Bay match up. Cheap tickets are available, and what an opportunity to experience one of the most historic and exciting venues in the NFL. The downside is its during the week and one hell of a long drive for me. Still I’m tossing it around with my buds.

Another interesting game is the the Kansas City visit to Baltimore. That would be an awesome opportunity to visit D.C. and see a Chiefs game at the same time.

Likely I’ll not take advantage of either away game, I can barely afford to scratch for my season tickets this year.

But for those in the KC area on a budget, make the most out of the preseason sechedule. Warm weather, cheap tickets (five dollar seats are usually common on Stub Hub and everybody sits wherever they want) and no pressure to win makes the preseason experience one you won’t want to miss on a Friday night! Check them out.
