Jeff Fisher Finished In Tennessee

Jeff Fisher, the longest tenured head coach in the NFL, is parting ways with the Tennessee Titans.

Shortly after the season, Titans owner Bud Adams said that Fisher would indeed stay with the team another season. It appears he has had a change of heart.

The team released a statement saying: “The Tennessee Titans and Jeff Fisher have agreed to part ways and Fisher will no longer be the head coach of the team.”

Fisher has been with the Titans since the were the freaking Houston Oilers! He has been the team’s head coach for 16 seasons. Think about what you were up to 16 years ago. I was 11 years old 16 years ago! Merlin was only55! Big Matt still hadn’t read Lord of the Rings! It’s crazy.

Seriously folks, I know this isn’t chiefs news per say but Fisher is one of the good guys in the NFL and will likely find a new job sooner rather than later. Also, with all due respect to Andy Reid, he has the best mustache in the NFL.

It appears all the head coaching jobs are locked up so Fisher may take the year off, however anything can happen in the NFL. I know one thing is for sure, I’m glad he didn’t land in the AFC West.
