Brandon Flowers Returns To Practice

According to Kent Babb of the Kansas City Star, Chiefs CB Brandon Flowers returned to practice today amidst growing concerns over his status for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.

Flowers went down with an injury two weeks ago while playing the Cardinals and sat out last week’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Chiefs announced the signing of CB Mike Richardson earlier today leading to speculation that Flowers’ status for this weekend could be in doubt.

Babb was not able to tell if Flowers was limited or participated fully during the brief media period but the fact that the CB was on the field was a good sign.

Another positive sign is that CB Jackie Bates who replaced Flowers last week, was in the rehab area on the exercise bike. This lends credibility to the theory that Richardson was signed due to Bates’ injury and not because Flowers would be unable to return.

We’ll keep an eye on things for you and give you a heads up if any new info on Flowers becomes available.
