With the San Diego Chargers making their late season charge, Chiefs fans have been weighing themselves down with tie breaker scenarios. Find out the clear pat to a division title after the jump.
The Chiefs are 7-4 and the San Diego Chargers are 6-5. If the Chiefs take care of business this week by beating the Denver Broncos, they will move to 8-4. The Chargers will be at home this week against Oakland and assuming they stay hot, they’ll move to 7-5 and keep the pressure on the Chiefs.
If this happens, the AFC West can be won by the Chiefs on December 12th in San Diego.
A Chiefs victory over the Chargers would drop San Diego to 7-6 and move Kansas City to 9-4 with three games to play. If that were to happen, the best the Chargers could finish is 10-6 meaning the Chiefs would only need to win one of their last three games to clinch the division championship because KC would hold the head to head tie breaker over the Bolts.
It really is that simple.
It just won’t be easy.
