1st round QB prospect Jimmy Clausen is talking up the Chiefs offensive coordinator Charlie Weis at the NFL Scouting Combine. While there is little to no chance that the Chiefs are in the market for a QB, Clausen was still sure to praise the man who helped shape him into the player he is today.
"“He’s a great quarterback coach, one of the best I’ve ever had. He’s probably the smartest coach I’ve ever been around,” Clausen said. “Coach Weis definitely knows what he’s doing. He puts me in a great position to go out there and just play football and make plays.”"
Weis is known for having success with his QB’s having helped to bring along Tom Brady, Cleveland QB Brady Quinn and now Clausen.
Let’s hope he has the same success with Matt Cassel.
