Chiefs Pioli Impressed by Blount?

The following was posted earlier on David Syvertsen’s Twitter:

That would be running back, LeGarrette Blount out of Oregon. You may remember Blount for being in the news for this incident, early in the college season. Here is a pretty decent highlight video.

Blount is currently listed at #250 on the DraftTek Big Board, which would make him a late 7th rounder or an undrafted free agent.

Blount is listed at 6-1 and a hefty 241 pounds. You can see from the video he can be very tough to bring down.

I am not surprised Pioli is taking notice of Blount. The Chiefs have Jamaal Charles and a plethora of other needs so they have no business taking a running back anywhere in the first 4 rounds or so. If they can get Blount in the later rounds, he might be a nice Thunder to Jamaal Charles’ lightening.

What do you think Addicts? Would Blount be a nice late round pick or are you concerned he might snap and break Philip Rivers’ jaw? Really, if you think about it, that might be worth a 7th round pick.
