I wanted to get a thread going about rookie mistakes that Todd Haley made this year. It is normally not my style to be negative, but in watching the last couple of games I could not help but think that this year could have been different but for a few adjustments. I am sure Todd Haley would be the first to admit that he made some mistakes and has learned from them. I will start it off:
Mistake #1: Throwing out the majority of the offensive playbook when Gailey was let go after a tough training camp.
Mistake #2: Haley putting too much trust and emphasis on Larry Johnson and not knowing what he had in Jamaal Charles.
Mistake #3: Sitting Derrick Johnson for most of the year. (yes, I just said that) Maybe Demorio Williams had a good year, but how is Corey Mays/Jovan belcher better than DJ, especially in coverage?
Mistake #4: Sitting Brad Cottam for most of the year.
Mistake #5: Being much too conservative in the play calling in the begining of the year.
Mistake #6: Keeping Vrabel ahead of Studebaker. (Vrabel has lost a step and when rushing the passer gets pushed out wide everytime. Studebaker produced more in his little time than did Vrabel).
So, Addicts, what do you think. Sound off?
