Vivid Seats says that the highest priced single-game ticket at this point is the season opener between the Chiefs and Patriots.

The season opener for any NFL season is always going to be a hot ticket, as the blank slate will officially begin to be filled for a new year. This year, the Kansas City Chiefs visiting the New England Patriots brings together last year’s top two AFC teams from the regular season, which means fans are paying steep prices to be in attendance. According to a press release from Vivid Seats, an independent ticket seller, their highest priced single game tickets for the upcoming NFL year are for that very game.

The average ticket price, again per Vivid, is a whopping $682 to get into that very game at Foxboro. Vivid calculates that the Patriots vs. Chiefs ticket is 302% higher than the average NFL game ticket cost on their site.

The Patriots are always going to be a hot ticket as long as they keep winning (and as long as Tom Brady is under center). Given that the Pats begin their title defense, it’s going to be a special home game for New England’s fans. In addition, the Chiefs are always a tough play, a team with multiple Pro Bowlers on both offense, defense and special teams led by one of the most accomplished active coaches in the NFL in Andy Reid.

The Chiefs are commanding higher prices this year than last year all around, according to Vivid, with an 80% spike in ticket prices than the previous year. That is partially due to the team’s continued success, but it’s likely tied even more to the their strong schedule, knowing they have several appearances on primetime television and games against popular teams like the Patriots, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys.
