In our latest NFL Draft interview, we profile South Florida running back Marlon Mack who hopes to stand out against fierce competition from a loaded class.

A running back is coming. Sometime. Somewhere. The upcoming NFL Draft class simply has to include a running back to compete with Spencer Ware for the spot atop the depth chart. The need for the Kansas City Chiefs is simply too great.

Whether it’s a first round grab like Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey, a late round option like UTEP’s Aaron Jones or something in between, the Chiefs have finished the requisite homework. No one knows better than anyone what is missing on the field with the loss of Jamaal Charles, so expect John Dorsey to make a move.

If you believe the smoke, Marlon Mack might just be the new candidate. The South Florida product burst onto the scene with a 275 yard, 4 touchdown performance in his first collegiate game. Since then, his NFL stock has been rising, with comparisons to players like Jordan Howard. Even more, the Chiefs are reportedly high on adding Mack at some point.

Since the Chiefs are high on Mack, we figured we should be too. We recently spoke to Mack to find out more about his college career and his pre-draft mindset.
