The Kansas City Chiefs have been making a bunch of moves on Tuesday morning.

General manager John Dorsey is never one to sleep. On Tuesday, nobody expected the Chiefs to be making many moves, and yet Dorsey turned over almost half the practice squad. Kansas City was able to sign inside linebacker Ramik Wilson, guard Jordan Devey, corner Julian Wilson and Terrance Mitchell.

To make room for those moves, Kansas City released center Daniel Munyer, safety Shak Randolph, safety Brock Vereen and linebacker Tyrell Adams.

Frankly, this is a huge get for the Chiefs. Wilson was a mid-round pick last season and was good enough to start as a rookie when Josh Mauga went down for a spell. He can also contribute on special teams, so keeping him on the practice squad was terrific.

Meanwhile, it is surprising that Randolph was allowed to walk out the door. He was someone who the team really liked throughout the preseason, so that’s a bit disappointing. Still, Dorsey had to make some corresponding moves, and Randolph was one of the players put out in the cold.

The Chiefs have the day off today and then get out on the practice field for the next three days. After that, Kansas City will have an off day on Saturday before hosting the San Diego Chargers on Sunday afternoon.
