Ross Travis is making the big jump from NCAA basketball to NFL football. Its been a long trip and has required dedication and a lot of work. He has concentrated on learning to block, developing his hands on the jugs machines and learning from the veterans in the Tight End meeting room. He recognizes the fact he follows in the footsteps of the man whose number he currently wears. He gives credit to Tony Gonzalez, Antonio Gates and Jimmy Graham for leading the way for this basketball-to-football transition. Travis is a unique athlete in a Chiefs Tight End group that may be the most athletic on any roster in the NFL.

Tamba Time
Monday’s news was all about the return of outside linebacker Tamba Hali. Hali passed his physical and was activated from the the Physically unable to Perform list. Hali has been sorely missed in training camp for the Chiefs. His presence may bolster a group of outside linebackers who have struggled to make an impact this preseason.
