It’s time to sit down and watch the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Los Angeles Rams at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Kansas City will be playing its first game in Los Angeles since Christmas Eve 1994, visiting the recently-relocated Rams. The Chiefs are without a litany of name players on Saturday night, including Tamba Hali, Eric Berry, Dezman Moses, Josh Mauga, Charcandrick West, Jamaal Charles, Justin Houston, Phillip Gaines and Rakeem Nunez-Roches.

Of course, none of them are seriously injured, with the exception of Houston who continues to work his way back from a non-functioning ACL. The rest of the inactive list is either nicked up or simply working back from a previous injury.

There are a few things I will be watching for in this game. First off, no injuries. The Chiefs could lose 49-0 and not gain a yard, but if everyone escapes without injury, that’s fantastic. Secondly, can Dee Ford play like he belongs on an NFL field? Ford was a raging disaster on Saturday against the Seattle Seahawks, playing the run as though it was a foreign concept. Can he decide that football is a fun sport, and not something to torture us with?

Finally, can the offensive line be impressive for a second consecutive week? There is a lot to be excited about with this group, namely the signing of right tackle Mitch Schwartz. Los Angeles has one of the best front fours in all of football. If the Chiefs can dominate again at the point of attack, that is a huge plus.

Hopefully Kansas City can earn its first win and head home feeling good. As always, enjoy the lounge and we will see you after the game!
