With their second fifth-round pick of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs picked Tyreek Hill.

Frankly, this is an odd pick with some ugliness behind it. The Chiefs decided to take another offensive player in the fifth round, going with Tyreek Hill of West Alabama. Hill is a running back who originally played for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, but moved on after pleading guilty to domestic violence.

What was the violence? Hill punched and choked his pregnant girlfriend, reportedly hitting her in the face and stomach. How the Chiefs could bring themselves to draft this clown is beyond me.

Certainly, people can change and become better human beings, but this should have landed him in jail. Instead, it got him to a lesser program but gave him a new lease on life. Being a running back, he is going to have a very hard time making this team with Jamaal Charles, Spencer Ware, Charcansrick West and Knile Davis on the roster. His best bet is beating out Davis and De’Anthony Thomas as a return man. Honestly, I hope the Chiefs cut him.

Sometimes, you have to bypass talent, especially when it punched and choked its pregnant girlfriend. Disgraceful.
