Report: Justin Houston healing quite well

One NFL reporter is giving reason for hope in regards to Justin Houston.

The Kansas City Chiefs need Justin Houston to be successful. While the team went 6-0 without him last season and won a playoff game while Houston was severely compromised, the Super Bowl dreams take a big hit with him on the sideline come December and January. However, NFL reporter Ian Rapoport has an optimistic tweet:

If this is the case, we should all breathe deep and feel pretty good. Kansas City can survive in the short-term without Houston, thanks to the combination of Dee Ford and Tamba Hali. The Chiefs proved this last year. Of course, the 6-12 month timetable also says that Houston could be back for the start of the season, and this is all a waste of time.

We won’t know the real story until training camp rolls around. There is no way he plays in the preseason but perhaps can come back in September. Hell, if Houston comes back midway through the season, the Chiefs will be just fine.
