Marcus Peters signs “2015 DROY” on jersey (Photo)

Marcus Peters is a very confident young man. His confidence is part of what makes him such a special talent. After the Kansas City Chiefs selected him with the No. 18 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft this offseason, Peters went out and showed why he’s a great player.

Peters tied for the league lead with eight interceptions and was targeted more than any other cornerback in the history of the statistic. He earned a Pro Bowl berth as a rookie and is widely considered the favorite to win the 2015 Defensive Rookie of the Year. In fact, Peters apparently believes he has already won the accolade.

In this eBay listing, Peters signed a jersey with his name on one numeral, and the designation “2015 DROY” on the other. See for yourself:

This is fantastic. It appears to be genuine in every way, with the seller offering the jersey along with proof of a Certificate of Authenticity and a picture of Peters providing autographs. Peters has some serious stones to put that in his autograph, risking major ridicule if the award goes somewhere else.

Then again, when you make it to the Pro Bowl and lead the league in interceptions, you probably have it locked up.
