Good morning, Addicts! The Kansas City Chiefs will have the day off on Tuesday, but that does mean we stop here at Arrowhead Addict. There is plenty to talk about, whether it is how to fix the present or what to ponder with the future. The team is depressing as heck right now, but at some point it will change. It has to change, because none of us deserve this kind of pain. It needs to stop.

Here is the news you need to know:

Jeff Allen is close to 100 percent after straining knee in preseasonTerez Paylor of the Kansas City Star

"After a few practices, Allen was eventually shifted to right tackle, and he was the starter there in the preseason opener against the Arizona Cardinals. But he strained his MCL in that game and has not returned to the starting lineup since, although it is not considered to be two-month injury."

Reviewing the events of the Vikings vs. ChiefsDave Heller of FOX Sports

"The Kansas City Chiefs entered Sunday’s game against Minnesota clearly reeling, having lost four straight games and without star running back Jamaal Charles, who is out of the season after injuring his knee last season."

The quarterback is not the only problem with the ChiefsSean Keeler of Warpaint Illustrated

"Start backup Chase Daniel against the Steelers at home? The former Mizzou star has done everything asked of him in a Chiefs uniform — which, granted, hasn’t been much — but he’s also in a contract year with a contract that doesn’t seem earmarked for a return engagement."
