Podcast: Alex Smith, Chase Daniel, Andy Reid: What now, Chiefs?

facebooktwitterreddit

On this episode of the Roughing the Kicker Chiefs podcast, Joshua Brisco dives right into the hottest topic in the Chiefs Kingdom – quarterbacks. Alex Smith has looked bad for two games in a row, Chase Daniel is widely considered a top-tier backup. But is Alex Smith the problem? What is going on with Andy Reid? How do the Chiefs move forward without Phillip Gaines? Plus, previewing the next test for Kansas City: travelling to the undefeated Cincinnati Bengals for a chance to rise to .500 or fall to a miserable 1-3.

Alex Smith is a limited quarterback.

But Chase Daniel is not fixing the Chiefs’ shortcomings. The Chiefs lost to a very good team on Monday, and it’s hard to be too infuriated at a defense being picked apart by one of the best quarterbacks of all time, currently in his prime. But the overall showing from Andy Reid’s offense (with 11 days to prepare) was absolutely inexcusable.

Now Phillip Gaines is done for the season, Alex Smith and Andy Reid have failed to produce for two weeks in a row, and the undefeated Bengals are on the horizon.

Find out what the real problem is and where this team goes now on this episode of Roughing the Kicker.
