Good morning, Addicts! It’s GAME DAYYYYYYY. On Friday night, the Kansas City Chiefs will play host to the Seattle Seahawks. There are a litany of players who will not dress on both sides, however, including Eric Fisher, Jeff Allen, Junior Hemingway, Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas. Regardless, it is Red Friday, so the Kingdom needs to be rocking and rolling.
Here is the news you need to know:
Seahawks hoping for better showing against Chiefs – Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times
"Carroll says that group “looked very good in practice” this week but that the trick now will be translating that into a game against a good Kansas City defense, and also “communicating really well” in what will be a challenging road environment."
Why your team sucks: Chiefs edition – Drew Magary of Deadspin
"You Chiefs fans have now experienced the full portfolio of what Andy Reid has to offer. You’ve had your crushing playoff collapse. And now you’ve had your deadening, mediocre season to follow up that collapse. You’ve run the gamut. Oh, and did the Chiefs hand the 0-10 Raiders their first win of the season last year? You know they did."
Kansas City works out free-agent guard – Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride
"Samuda was a 2012 undrafted free agent who has spent time with the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings. He broke his ankle and leg last year which cost him the entire 2014 season. Because of that injury I wonder if his workout with the Chiefs is more about seeing where he is in his recovery."
These Chiefs have been ruled out for Friday night – Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride
"Get ready for the Chiefs to play without their top two offensive tackles. Fisher is dealing with an ankle sprain while Allen has a knee sprain. They won’t play this week but we’re hoping that their injuries aren’t anything that will affect the real games come September."
