Power Rankings Roundup: Kansas City Chiefs Creeping Into Top 10

Six wins in their last seven games, including a big win on the road against the Buffalo Bills this week, has a lot people re-thinking their positions on the Kansas City Chiefs. This includes our favorite NFL pundit Pete Prisco. Here’s what he had to say in his power rankings for week 11.

"When the Kansas City Chiefs opened the 2013 season with nine consecutive victories, I angered a lot of Chiefs fans by proclaiming it was one of the worst 9-0 teams I’d ever seen.…Here we are a year later, and the Chiefs are 6-3 after nine games and climbing up my Power Rankings the past month, all the way up to No. 10 this week. So I’d like to say this to Chiefs fans:This team is better than that 9-0 team of a year ago. This Chiefs team, which rallied in the fourth quarter to beat the Bills 17-13 Sunday, is second in the NFL in scoring defense at 16.8 points per game, 10 per game in the last three. It features one of the best pass rushes in the league and also can run the ball with Jamaal Charles and has a controlled passing game in the Andy Reid style that he loves."

Oh Pete…

Here’s what the rest of the internet has to say about the Chiefs this week:

With a win over the Patriots and a loss to the Titans, are the 6-3 Chiefs actually good? Hosting Seattle this week should be insightful either way.. 17-13, Chiefs over Bills. Previous: . Kansas City Chiefs. 10. team. 124

124. What a huge win in the grand scheme of things for Andy Reid and the Chiefs. Once again, Kansas City is chasing Denver in the AFC West, but K.C. is now in the driver’s seat for the top wild-card spot– just like last November. And just like last season, the Chiefs will play the Chargers in Week 17. Before that, Kansas City has winnable games versus the Raiders (home and away), as well as road contests against the Carson Palmer-less Cardinals and the who-knows-what-team-you’ll-get Steelers. Considering at least one AFC wild-card team will have nine wins — or so it seems — this group should be playing January football.. 17-13, Chiefs over Bills. Previous: . Kansas City Chiefs. 10. team
