Live Thread: Chiefs at Dolphins

Is today the day the Chiefs turn things around or is this going to be the day we look to as the day the season was lost?
This is the question we’ll have answered by 7 p.m. tonight after the Chiefs play the Dolphins. Kansas City has a chance, based on their performance against Denver last weekend, to right the ship and get back to .500 in the next eight days. A road win over Miami and a home Monday night showdown against New England represent an excellent chance for the Chiefs to re-emerge as a potential playoff team.
It’s not going to be easy, however. Eric Berry and De’Anthony Thomas will join Derrick Johnson, Jeff Allen, Mike DeVito, and Donald Stephenson as starters who are missing from today’s game. Jamaal Charles is banged up, too. Kansas City will have to count on their depth to pull this season out of the fire.
Good news is the Dolphins are about just as banged up as the Chiefs. They’ll be missing two key players in Mike Pouncey and Knowshon Moreno in addition to having a lot of issues on the defensive and offensive line. The Dolphins may be the perfect antidote to what ails the Chiefs.
Prediction: Chiefs 24, Dolphins 17
