Injury Report: Sanders Commings, Mike Catapano, Hamstrings

Sanders Commings ankle injury that he sustained yesterday was apparently bad enough to keep him out of practice today. Commings has participated in just one practice since the star of camp – yesterday’s practice – and he managed to hurt himself. We don’t know the severity of his injury yet but we’ll keep you updated if we hear anything.

Mike Catapano is missing his second straight practice with an illness. Hopefully he will be back sooner than later.

Mark Harrison, Demarcus Van Dyke, and David Van Dyke are all out with hamstring injuries. Harrison hurt his hamstring in yesterday’s practice. The amount of hamstring injuries going on is a little bit concerning.

Speaking of hamstring injuries, Junior Hemingway is out for the fourth straight practice with a hamstring injury. This is not good news for him as several receivers, including Harrison, have had good showings in camp. Hemingway has the skills to make the roster but it is going to be hard for that to happen if he cannot get on the field and compete against some of the other wide receivers who are trying to take his spot. The more this injury lags, the more likely it is he misses the first preseason game, too. Not good.
