Eric Berry Carted Off Practice Field With Lower Body Injury

Kansas City Chiefs Pro Bowl safety, Eric Berry, was carted off the practice field this morning with an apparent lower body injury.

From multiple sources in attendance, via Twitter:

Scary stuff.

Unfortunately, this is what happens at training camp. Every year, multiple players around the league suffer injuries, sometimes season-enders, during training camp and preseason games.

This doesn’t appear to be too serious, as Berry was able to walk to the cart under his own power. Then again, I always like to point out that Tom Brady walked off the field and down a couple of steps when he suffered a season-ending knee injury at the hands of former Chief Bernard Pollard.

Thankfully, this does not appear to be a knee injury. The biggest worries at this point would be that Berry has a broken foot or the dreaded high ankle sprain.

Hopefully Berry just has a mild sprain and will be back on the field soon. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid will address the media after practice so we could get some more information soon.

Stay tuned.
