Do The Chiefs Play The Five Best Teams In The NFL This Year? [Video]

We already know the Chiefs have one of the toughest schedules in the NFL. But if Boomer Esiason’s rankings are correct, the Chiefs will play the top five teams in the NFL this season.

Things were going to be tough playing the four Championship game teams from a year ago – San Francisco, Denver, Seattle, and New England. But Boomer’s suggestion for the fifth best team in the NFL would mean the Chiefs schedule may be a little more difficult than previously thought.

Yes, things can change very quickly. Who would have expected we would have played so many backup quarterbacks in a row last season? Injuries, suspensions, a decrease in quality of play, all of those things can change the landscape of the 2014 schedule for any team. But it is quickly becoming clear the Chiefs are going to need a break or two if they want to return to the playoffs.

What do you think, Addicts? Do you agree with Boomer’s top five teams or would you have put someone else on the list? Two AFC teams seems high for me, but I understand it is hard to vote against Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

CARDS????????? HELL NAW rams are better than them hell even the colts maybe even my chiefs although id rank us at 8 or 9th best

    • Ben Nielsen

9th actually seems somewhat fair. High, but fair.

Ahhhhhh mr ben nielsen right on time sir lmao!!!!! No argument i agree although i still feel like we are being over looked again this yr

Hey, if the Chiefs can stay relatively healthy they have a shot to surprise a lot of people.

Can not will the big one playing shitty teams. It will be a good thing

I’m sorry, but did boomer say the Arizona Cardinals? Lol I need someone to verify that I actually just heard what I think I heard. 5th best in the entire NFL? They are not even 5th best in the NFC. Seattle, San Francisco, New Orleans, Green Bay, Philadelphia, Chicago, THEN Arizona. And that 7th place vote isn’t even locked firm, because you have no idea what you’re going to get from Atlanta, New York, and Washington. Cards have great defense, but come on. Just a laughable pick by boomer.

With that said, the chiefs do have a much harder road ahead this season, having to face the first 4 teams in the list.

Chiefs may play 4 of the top 5, but they don’t play themselves.

I think 5 is way too high for the chiefs. But if that defense and Jamaal Charles stays healthy, i think Andy Reid can keep you guys in that 10-12 range. Coming in second in the west, and maybe a wildcard berth. Which is not bad considering that things will be way tougher for the chiefs this year.

I donno, Cards were 10-6 and Beat Seattle at Seattle. I think the Chiefs are underrated at present, but every game with NFC-W is going to be a challenge.

Wow, didn’t see this till now, 6 of nine of our first games are away.
