Every year the NFL likes to bring back former players to announce the picks for their former teams in the second round of the draft. Kansas City does not have a second round pick this season – at least they don’t right now – but that won’t stop them from being represented.

The NFL announced today Curley Culp will announce the Chiefs’ third round pick on Friday. Culp is a Hall of Fame defensive tackle who played for the Chiefs from 1968 to 1974. He made two Pro Bowls and was part of the Super Bowl 4 title team in his six-plus seasons with Kansas City.

Culp will announce the Chiefs’ third round pick, but one would assume the NFL would have Culp bump up to the second round if the Chiefs were able to add a selection.

Former Chief Morten Anderson will announce the New Orleans Saints second round pick.
