We’ve had a flurry of updates for DeSean Jackson tonight, so let’s get everyone up to speed on what is going on.
Can confirm reports DeSean Jackson will visit Washington on Monday. Source tells me the #Chiefs are among 7-8 teams vying for his services.

First is to note Jackson will be visiting Washington on Monday, which means one would think there will not be too much action happening tomorrow. This is unless someone gives Jackson an offer he cannot refuse.
Jackson visiting Washington could either be for leverage or Washington has upped themselves to a serious contender. We learned this morning Washington and Buffalo could be wildcards for Jackson.
Paylor’s tweet also let’s us know the Chiefs are still in it, but there is a lot of competition for his services. We’ll see what kind of pull Andy Reid and his assistants have in luring Jackson to KC.
Obviously good news for the #Redskins that DeSean Jackson visits first. He has other, unspecified visits scheduled. So nothing decided yet

With there being other visits planned, and knowing Washington’s history of big offers, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Washington visit happening first isn’t a ploy to get a high contract offer on the table to take to other teams later in the week. Of course Jackson could have serious interest in Washington, too, but it is a curious team to start a string of visits given the teams interested in him.
As of this second, both sides’ interest would be better described as “warm” than “hot” … #Raiders acknowledge he’s what they need on field

There was a string of rumors on Twitter and other outlets that Jackson to Oakland was all but a done deal. This tweet from an actual journalist suggest any deal between the Raiders and Jackson is far from done.
From what I am hearing, D-Jackson will have opportunity to pick his new team much sooner rather than later.

It is not a surprise Jackson will sign sooner than later. The earlier the Chiefs can get Jackson in for a visit after his Washington visit, the better.
@kooley2k K.C. is the best place for him top to bottom, all things considered.

Make of this what you will.
