Many people need their coffee to get up and going in the morning, and especially in the middle of the afternoon when things are starting to drag.  Here at Arrowhead Addict, we understand that for a Chiefs fan, coffee is simply not enough.

Here’s all that’s happening around Chiefs Kingdom today.

Welcome to The Fix.

As the hype and hooplah that surrounds Senior Bowl week winds down in preparation of the game this weekend, Terez Paylor at the Kansas City Star has written “Five Chiefs-Related Observations” regarding his Senior Bowl musings.

"Speaking of [Alex] Smith, some have suggested the Chiefs simply let Smith play out his contract and franchise him in 2015 and 2016 if he earns it. However, the Chiefs stand to gain a decent amount of cap space if they can extend his contract, and given the cap issues I outlined a few days ago, every bit will help."

Speaking of rookies, over at ESPN Adam Teicher talks about the Chiefs rookie class from last year and indicates that there is still plenty of time for that group of players to shine.

"Another thing that needs to be considered: This draft class isn’t finished yet. It’s still premature to give the class a final grade, and while it’s true the Chiefs didn’t get a lot from their rookies in 2013, those players may yet produce.Tackle Eric Fisher didn’t play like the overall No. 1 pick but he will get better. Fisher showed flashes of his potential during the season. A year in Kansas City’s weight program should do wonders for him."

Finally this morning, the Pro Bowl is going down this weekend and the teams have been practicing, as well as hanging out in sunny Hawaii, all week. Check out the photo log over at the Mothership of all of the Pro Bowl week “goings-on.”

That’s it for today, Addicts. Enjoy your weekend, check out the Pro Bowl if you get a chance and get ready for the first ever AA Writers Mock Draft starting Monday morning!
