Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles had one of the best games of the season on the ground today, going over 100 yards for only the second time and finding the end zone twice. But, what did Charles think of the rest of the Chiefs offensive production?

"“The offense did a great job out here today. We tried to go out there and score on every drive. With Philip Rivers going out there and putting up points, we feel like we had to score points. We couldn’t kick field goals today. Every time we got in the red zone, our goal was to score.”"

Having Charles find the end zone on two separate scores was a welcome relief for Chiefs fans, and likely for the Chiefs organization as a whole. Charles scored a TD — either on the ground or through the air — in the first six Chiefs games, but hasn’t found the end zone since. The Chiefs will need every bit of this production from him — and the rest of the offense next week when they go up against the Denver Broncos for round two of the AFC West clash. Charles rushing for two scores next week could go a long way against the current first place team in the West.
