Fantasy Outlook: Chiefs vs. Giants

Hello Addicts! Before you set your final fantasy lineups for this weekend’s matchups, you should definitely consider more than a couple of players on the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jamaal Charles

If you’re not starting Jamaal in your league, than you’re not doing it right. He is the only Chiefs player who has scored a touchdown in each of the first three games. Add that to reception yardage he’s racking up on top of his rushing yardage and he’s a consistent 20 to 25 points per game. You’re not going to get much better than that.

Chiefs D/ST

I drafted the Chiefs D in the second to the last or the last round in nearly every draft I did this season. Who’s laughing now? This defense has been playing lights out, and they’re going against a team this week in the New York Giants who allowed eight sacks against their quarterback last week. Add to that fact that Giants quarterback Eli Manning leads the league in interceptions makes the Chiefs “D” a great team to play if you have them. And, oh yeah, the special teams is due for a kick return any game now.

Dwayne Bowe

The .4 points Bowe got me last week hurt. It hurt a lot. Bowe hasn’t put up the fantasy numbers many expected from him at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately, WRs don’t get fantasy points for drawing double teams so the QB can throw it to the other receivers. Regardless, I’m starting him in all my leagues this week because the guy has to have a breakout game sooner or later. Here’s hoping it’s this week against the Giants.

Alex Smith

Who would have thought we’d be talking about Alex Smith in a fantasy piece? Yeah, me neither. But, right now he’s a better option than many previous fantasy all-stars like Roethlisberger. If you’ve got Peyton Manning, don’t start Alex over him. If you’ve got his little brother, Smith is probably your guy.

Donnie Avery

Avery is my sleeper pick this week. If you didn’t already have him and managed to pick him up on waivers this week, good job. I tried to snake him, but was beat out in a couple of leagues. As a starting WR, he’s not much of an option, but if you’re in a bigger league (12 team or 14 team) then he might fit well in your flex. He’s got more fantasy points this season than Mike Wallace, and that hurts. Grab him if you can.

That’s it for this week, Addicts. Here’s to hoping all your fantasy dreams come true tomorrow!
