The 2013 Kansas City Chiefs Draft Party!

When it comes to sports, I love to be there live.

Sitting in front of the tube scarfing beer and chips isn’t my favorite way to watch the action.

Sure live sports action can be a pain in the butt.

I’ve been at some of the hottest Kansas City Chiefs games on record, and I’ve shivered in the coldest.

Your Arrowhead Adventurer has suffered through drenching rain, and tornadic conditions in the greatest NFL stadium in the world.

Not to mention the equitorial Africa hot training camps that I’ve dutifully texted updates to Patrick from.

But not just football.

I’ve braved hostile fans at Lambeau, unbelievably cold winds at Soldier field, and the numbingly boring atmosphere of the Edward E Jones Dome in St. Louis.

But as loyal readers of my post know, there ain’t nothing like watching the good old NFL draft in front of gigantic television screens at the good old Kansas City Chief draft party at Arrowhead.

The last couple of years, though the event has gotten better, the access to the public has gotten worse.

Now you have to be a season ticket holder.

And even a small percentage of us lucky folk get them, you have to be pretty quick when you get the email alert.

But fear not.

Many season ticket holders download them and then get busy and well the unused tickets kind of just sit there.

Waiting for you to find it.

So think hard my friends.

Track one down.

And until then stay tuned to Arrowhead Adventures for weekly updates as your professional draft party attender gets them.

See you there!

Do you have to have seasons tickets to get a ticket to the draft party?

    • Arrowhead Adventurer

yes which is dumb but the Chiefs need to sell season tickets

  • ObscureDave

I would like very much to attend but live out of state and don’t have season tickets. Can you explain how we unwashed masses can score a ticket to this event? Am willing to pay reasonable $’s.

    • Arrowhead Adventurer

You pretty much have to know a season ticker holder or have season tickets. I guess the idea is to reward loyal season ticket holders but I say non season ticket holders are loyal too!

      • ObscureDave

Well, I got some tickets. Now I need to know if I should go to Oklahoma Joe’s before the party. What is the food like that you get with the admission? Free or how many $?

That’s Big thumbs-up, considering all the changes and moves at One Arrowhead Drive this off season. Plus it’s the first time in our Chiefs history (& hopefully the last) that we have the #1 pick! Doesn’t get much better than that for an NFL Draft Party, except being there..aka..Patty!

    • Arrowhead Adventurer

wowee i wanna be there now

I’ve been to one of the draft parties, the year they drafted Tony Gonzales, and to be quite honest, other than Bill Grigsby telling his stories, it wasn’t that great. As I remember, they traded up to get Gonzales, and after the pick, most people left. Back then ESPN was the only one carrying the draft, and they had that on the TV’s. They had some players come in for interviews, I remember Jerome Woods being one. I’d rather stay home and watch it, where I flip between NFL and ESPN to get reports.

They are much better now in my opinion now. The Chiefs were still selling out back then..

Man I’d love to go, but I’m a 20 year old college student, I have no money :(

Awesome your going brother give a good report as to how it went.

I just dont understand why they think that the biggest fans are the ones with the season tickets, and why they are the only ones that get to enjoy it. Im a huge Chiefs fan but i dont own season tickets, So i get to miss out on meeting players and being apart of something bigger than me. Needs to change so everyone in the city that is a chiefts fan has a chance. Just like RED FRIDAY
