The Kansas City Chiefs have been very busy since NFL free agency started yesterday afternoon and now they are confirming the deals we’ve been hearing.

The team announced the deals over Twitter:

The surprise name there is Bryan Mattison. Mattison has been on and off the Chiefs roster while Scott Pioli was the team’s GM. KC signed Mattison in September of 2012, then cut him and then signed him again in October.

Mattison entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets in 2008, after playing his college ball at Iowa.

Mattison actually played DE in college but in 2009, he landed with the Baltimore Ravens. There, he shifted guard. He was waived on Nov. 24, 2011. The following day, he was picked up by the St. Louis Rams.

Mattison has never really been able to catch on with a team or force his way into the lineup but there must be some reason he keeps hanging around. It looks like the new regime will give him another chance to earn a roster spot in training camp.

As for the other moves, we knew those were coming and now they are confirmed.

Congrats to the new Chiefs.

UPDATE: DeVito is confirmed as well.
