Von Miller Super Bowl Guarantee: Yep, He Went There
Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports
Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller has guaranteed that his team will win the the Super Bowl.
The guarantee happened on Twitter. Twitter is where all the good stuff goes down. If you aren’t on it yet, you are missing out.
As FanSided editors Josh Sanchez put to me when I told him of Miller’s guarantee:
"When will these guys ever learn?"
Indeed
Now as Chiefs fans, we can’t really talk too much trash about the Broncos these days. I’m aware of that. I’m aware that Denver curb-stomped our team twice last year and has won the AFC West two years in a row. I’m also aware that Peyton Manning blew off the Chiefs so he could go play for Denver. I am also aware that the man running the Broncos these days is one “John Elway.”
Miller is a great player and I am really bitter that he is playing for the Donkeys. But going around guaranteeing Super Bowls usually doesn’t turn out to well. People love this kind of bulletin board material and the press loves to remind players of stuff like this throughout the season.
Remember the infamous “Dream Team” comment made by then Eagles QB Vince Young a couple years back?
If you don’t remember, just ask Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. I am sure he will tell you all about it.
Do you think Miller made a mistake making this guarantee?
