Day two of the NFL Scouting Combine is underway in Indianapolis. Day two is the day that Chiefs fans have been waiting for as the QBs will be among the players working out.
Players are often able to significantly boos their draft stock at this event and for Chiefs fans hoping the team will take a QB in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, all eyes will be on Geno Smith.
But Smith isn’t the only QB to watch today. There are a number of other signal callers Chiefs fans should keep an eye on because if KC doesn’t take a QB No.1, there is a chance the team will select one in a later round.
That means guys like Matt Barkley, Tyler Wilson and Mike Glennon are all in play.
This thread will be up all day for those of you watching the Combine to discuss what you are seeing.
We will also be live blogging throughout the day so keep an eye on this space.
Chiefs reportedly very interested in Alex Smith and Luke Joeckel. http://arrowheadaddict.com/2013/02/24/chiefs-high-on-alex-smith-luke-joeckel-according-to-report/
Look like Geno Smith hasn’t hurt himself today. But has he done anything to change the perception that he is not worth the #1 pick?
Geno Smith throwing some nice balls
This is my favorite WR drill. So cool to watch
Nice toss there by Geno
Chiefs coach is running this drill. Pretty cool.
Kaepernick is a prime example that teams need to do a better job evaluating QBs. Russel Wilson as well.
I think both make it clear that system and coaching is very important.
You can watch Geno run his 40 here: http://arrowheadaddict.com/2013/02/24/nfl-combine-geno-smith-runs-unofficial-4-56-40-gif/
Time to see Geno throw.
Nice speed from Geno. Good to know he will throw first in the NFL but that he can run if he needs to.
Have to say I am intrigued by EJ Manuel. Project for sure, though.
Geno Smith getting ready to run the 40.
Oof. Glennon not looking good here.
QBs running the 4o now.
We just posted a new story on the homepage. The Chiefs met with MLB Alec Ogletree yesterday. http://arrowheadaddict.com/2013/02/24/chiefs-meet-with-alec-ogletree-at-nfl-combine/
QBs getting ready to throw some footballs.
The receivers are up right now. They are running the 40. Tavon Austin ran an unofficial 4.25. Wow.
