What say you, Addicts? Is the next Chiefs QB playing in this game today?

  • http://www.arrowheadaddict.com Patrick Allen

Any Tyler Wilson fans out there?

    • http://www.facebook.com/truman.yeary Truman Yeary

Yes. Only one bad pass so far. Just wish he could have found the endzone

  • http://www.arrowheadaddict.com Patrick Allen

Always like to hear Mike Mayock talk about individual players. That is one of the best parts of the Senior Bowl

  • ladner morse

    EJ Manual looks great.

  • http://www.arrowheadaddict.com Patrick Allen

Not a great start for Glennon.

    • http://www.facebook.com/truman.yeary Truman Yeary

Glennon really not looking good. Under throwing his WR’s

      • http://www.arrowheadaddict.com Patrick Allen

Seems like they are all holding the ball too long. Got to get it out of there.

    • TAZMOSIS

Glennon’s looking really bad. Every ball in the dirt to some open receivers.

  • http://www.arrowheadaddict.com Patrick Allen

    EJ? That was pretty impressive.

  • ladner morse

wow.. give me some EJ Manual

    • http://www.arrowheadaddict.com Patrick Allen

That was a heck of a throw

      • Justin R Groth

A lot of people want to draft him in 3-4th rnd as insurance if we get geno at 1. Similar to the skins and cousins last year.

    • http://www.arrowheadaddict.com Patrick Allen

I haven’t heard as much about him. Have you scouted him much?

      • ladner morse

I’ve scouted him a little but, not enough to draw conclusions. However, the way he’s played in the Senior Bowl is better than any of the film I’ve seen on him so far. It’s nice to see who can raise their play after teh season ends and who plays ever better with different players around them: he sure has.

When I research him in December… I liked him enough to think he’d be great as a second QB behind Geno if the Chiefs could get him in he 3rd. DraftScout.com had him ranks as the 102nd prospect before today. His ranking should improve now.

        • john woodley

He looks great today, when I’ve watched other times his passes don’t have a very tight spiral and tend to float, dono if it mechanics or what

        • http://www.facebook.com/roger.nava.92 Roger Nava

          My thoughts 4 a while. Insurance ;)

    • http://www.facebook.com/roger.nava.92 Roger Nava

      NFL starter 4 sure ;)

  • http://www.arrowheadaddict.com Patrick Allen

See I get excited about Wilson but then they talk about him wilting under pressure and all I can think about is Matt Cassel.

  • http://www.arrowheadaddict.com Patrick Allen

Wish Wilson got that ball there a little faster. They gave hi the spot though.

  • Ehud

The knock against most of the top QBs in this draft has been lack of consistency. I’ve seen nothing this week to make me think differently.

    • http://www.arrowheadaddict.com Patrick Allen

With Geno, it seemed to me that teams started to adjust to him and what WV was doing and then he adjusted back. Just like he progressed each year. Seems to me more and more he is head and shoulders above the rest.

      • Ehud

It’s looking more likely. Had Geno been here he could have shown how much better he is. Missed opportunity.

        • john woodley

Agree he could have made himself the leader for #1 pick

          • tm1946

Or shown himself to be like the rest. As in, not a good year for QBs. Probably his agent keeping him out to keep his stock ahead of this bunch.

        • http://www.arrowheadaddict.com Patrick Allen

I don’t know. A week of practice? It is making all these guys look bad. He’s winning now for not showing up.

  • http://www.arrowheadaddict.com Patrick Allen

Seems like the QBs should be able to take advantage of the rules restricting the defense in this game. None of them really are.

  • http://www.arrowheadaddict.com Patrick Allen

Landry Jones looks really bad. Avoid.

  • Chief Hokie

    1. Geno Smith, QB
    2. Xavier Rhodes/Desmond Trufant/Jordan Poyer, CB
    3a. EJ Manuel, QB
    3b. Nico Johnson, iLB
    4. Baccari Rambo, S

    • KCMikeG

Like it! Would offer alternatives of Andrew Jackson SILB WKY/if Rambo isn’t still there and Sio Moore OLB UConn at #5.

      • Chief Hokie

I like Sio Moore but I admit I don’t know much on Jackson. The one thing about this mock is that there are no WRs, but I don’t think we really need one if we resign Bowe. Reid should be able to make something out of Bowe, Breaston, Baldwin, Mccluster, and Wylie.

        • KCMikeG

Plus a good QB would make them all better. Do you think Breaston will be retained? He still has three years left on his contract. Not sure what happened with him last year. When he did play I noticed numerous plays where he was watching the ball carrier getting tackled instead of blocking. Not sure if Reid’s offense will be a better fit for him.
I still have hope for Hemingway, Bellamy and Newsome too as the last two looked good in camp. Plus Moeaki will be back to 100% and hopefully Boss will be healthy as he looked very promising before the concussion. Looking forward to seeing what Rucker and Cosby have to offer.

          • Chief Hokie

Yea he sure is a thumper, you have me intrigued! As for Breaston, I still have no idea why he rode the bench most of this season. Whether it was him “not understanding the playbook” or slacking off on blocks – we will never know. All I do know is that he is still a young guy who has shown he can be a solid #2 OR a slot receiver (like he was in Arizona).

Moeaki is healthy…for now. Let’s just hope he stays that way. Haven’t heard much on Boss, although we all know what neck injuries can do to a player’s career. I’d bet come April we draft another TE somewhere in rounds 4-7.

        • KCMikeG

Check out Andrew Jackson. Major thumper and vocal leader. http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=108913&draftyear=2014&genpos=ILB

I like what I seen from Glennon. I can see the comparison to Joe Flacco. He has a very live arm and can launch a pass deep down field with accuracy. Once the offense got rolling he looked sharp. E.j. Manuel would be a great QB for Chip Kelly. I would’t be surprised if the Eagles reach for him with a second rd pick. Nassib and Jones did not play well and I think they go in rds 3-4. At this point I think QB needy teams will use Nassib as a smoke screen. Smith, Wilson, and Glennon will go in the first rd. Barkely is the dark horse of the draft. If he has a great combine he could soar back into the top 20. I think that will push Wilson to the second round. Im rating QB’s 1. Smith 2.Wilson 3. Barkely (could jump Wilson at combine) 4. Glennon( Flacco 2.0) 5. Manuel (Cam Newton anyone?) 6. Nassib (Jake Locker 2.0) 7. Bray (1st rd arm…7th rd brain)
