Chiefs vs. Cardinals: Flowers Out

Michael Hickey-US PRESSWIRE

The Kansas City Chiefs have released their inactive players for tonight’s game.

It looks as though the Chiefs will sit Brandon Flowers out this week. Flowers is dealing with a bruised foot.

Here is the tweet, from Josh Looney:

Hemingway has also been battling an injury so we won’t see him tonight. This is an unfortunate turn for the rookie who likely has an uphill battle making the roster of a team suddenly stacked with WR talent.

I am ok with Flowers being out. While it stinks we won’t get to see the KC defense at full strength, we’ve got all season for that. We know Flowers can ball and he knows this defense. They can sit Flowers out for the entire preseason for all I care, so long as he doesn’t get hurt before the season starts.

We are getting closer to game time. Get your beverage of choice and report back here in an hour for our live game thread!
