Chiefs Sign Alex Tanney: The Trick Shot QB

The Kansas City Chiefs have added a fourth QB by inking Youtube sensation Alex Tanney, also known as “The trick Shot QB.”

Tanney played at a small school Monmouth College and went undrafted in April. He received invitations to work out for a number of teams, most recently the Buffalo Bills.

Though it probably wasn’t just his trick throws on Youtube that got the attention of NFL teams.

His college numbers were kind of good. He passed for a ridiculous 14,429 yards and 157 touchdowns. His yardage is the all-time D-III record and his TD’s are the most by an NCAA player…ever.

Scouting reports I’ve read note Tanney has some footwork issues but it is clear from his Youtube videos that accuracy and arm strength are not a problem.

His odds of making the team are extremely long but who knows? He may have been overlooked because he played at a small school but if he can show promise in practice against NFL competition, the Chiefs will be forced to take notice.

What do you think Addicts? Can Matt Cassel do this?
