Brian Waters Plans To Return, Says Report

Former Kansas City Chief guard Brian Waters is apparently going to put off retirement for another season.

According to the Boston Herald, Waters plans to return to the New England Patriots to play his 14th NFL season.

There was some concern that Waters might be contemplating retirement. That concern was heightened when he did not show to organized team activities. Any Chiefs fan will tell you, however, that Waters often sits out the voluntary workouts. His play never seemed to be effected by missing them.

I’m glad Waters will be coming back to make one last run at a ring. He still played at a high level last year and he should be able to continue being productive playing for a team like the Patriots. I for one was rooting for the Pats last year in the Super Bowl just because I wanted to see Waters get his ring.

This year though, he’d better stay out of the Chiefs’ way.
