Dallas Clark Visits The Chiefs

Now that the draft is over teams have a better idea of where their rosters stand than they did over a month ago when NFL free agency began. That means that all those free agents that were not signed in the first wave of free agency will now get a second look from teams that did not address all of their needs through the draft.

Apparently the Chiefs still see TE as a need.

Jack Harry had this to say via Twitter:

"Chiefs are busy bringing in free agents. Dallas Clark coming to KC tonite for a visit. Free safety A.J.Atogwe was at Arrowhead last night."

Harry has an interview with Chiefs GM Scott Pioli airing tonight so his information is likely legit.

I love both of these free agent visits and I hope Pioli can find a way to bring both to KC. Tony Moeaki has been compared to Clark in the past and could likely learn a lot from the veteran. As for Atogwe, the Chiefs still aren’t set in the depth department at safety so that move would make a lot of sense.

It appears to me that Scott Pioli is really doubling down this season. I know he hasn’t signed any of these guys yet but the fact that he is still looking at quality veteran tight ends despite the fact that he has Kevin Boss and Tony Moeaki already on the roster tells me he doesn’t plan on taking many chances this season.

I am really impressed with the way Pioli has approached/handled this offseason. It has by far been his best since coming to Kansas City.

What say ye Addicts? Clark? Atogwe? Both?
