2011 Tamba Hali Highlights
Normally we post these kinds of things in The Hub these days but since it is Red Tribe Cinema and since it is Tamba Hali, I thought I’d give it a bit more of a prominent slot this Easter Sunday.
Sometimes I think we take Tamba for granted. He had another terrific season last year though his pressures were down a bit from 2010. I am sure a lot of this has to do with teams focusing more on stopping him. After a player has a big season like Tamba had in 2010, opponents are going to make stopping him their #1 priority.
Now that Justin Houston has arrived, however, Tamba could be getting some much needed help. We saw flashes of what this duo could accomplish near the end of last season as Houston finally started realizing his potential.
In 2012, with a full offseason under his belt, Houston should be even better. He is likely to benefit greatly from having a player of Tamba’s caliber drawing the attention of the defense. Early in his career, Hali enjoyed a similar situation when he was the team’s #2 pass rusher behind Jared Allen.
The good news is, Tamba is now locked into a contract with the Chiefs and Houston is only entering his second year. The Chiefs should be able to keep these two pass rushers together for some time.
What do you think, Addicts? Will there be a sack race between Houston and Hali next season?
Enjoy the highlights.
