Chiefs To Work Out QB Kirk Cousins

The Kansas City Chiefs may not be done adding QB’s.

According to Alex Marvez of Fox Sports.com, the Chiefs will work out former Michigan State QB Kirk Cousins next week. First, Cousins will work out for the Bills. After the Bills and Chiefs, Cousins will head to Philadelphia to meet with the Eagles.

Cousins is slotted to go somewhere in the second round of the draft.

The Chiefs are doing their due diligence here but since they are only allowed work out a certain number of college players privately, the fact that they are using one of them on Cousins indicates that they would at least consider taking a QB.

A project QB like Cousins may be what the Chiefs are more in line for now that it looks as though they are committed to Matt Cassel for at least one more season. It wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility for the Chiefs to take a guy like Cousins in April and then go to training camp with four QB’s. Should that happen, it would likely be Ricky Stanzi and Brady Quinn fighting it out for a roster spot.

What do you think Addicts? Are you a fan of Cousins in the second round or do you feel comfortable with where the Chiefs stand at QB?
